We have all heard of AirBnB, CarNextDoor, Camplify, Uber and the like, well now we have MatesBoat™. MatesBoat™ has been in the making for a year or so now with the main objective to make boating available to everyone!

The great thing about the sharing community and those that have embraced it is that it is a win for both parties. The Mate who hires the boat doesn’t have to worry about the cost of boat ownership or the cleaning and maintenance side of things. The Masters/Owners get to use their boat when and how they want and can also choose when to rent or take paying customers aboard to help pay for the ownership of it.
When AirBnB launched people saw benefit in buying multiple properties and renting them, as an asset building strategy. People have made a business out of buying and renting holiday homes on short term rental sites around the world. I have just returned from a trip around Europe where we often stayed in AirBnB style accommodation. When arranging our stay with our hosts we found most of them had several properties available for rent. Why not start your own boat rental/charter business using the MatesBoat™ platform?
Australia is the perfect place for this type of platform given it is surrounded by oceans and is full of rivers, lakes and inland waterways waiting for you to take mates boating!
